Our Supreme Assembly has had the "GWA Wall of Fame" on the third floor of our International Temple just outside our Assembly Room — for decades. The purpose of the wall is to showcase those serving their jurisdiction for the current year as Grand Worthy Advisor. Recently, the Supreme Temple Committee had a work day which included 33 adults (from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana and Nevada) and 4-5 active Rainbow Members. Among other tasks, the girls were asked to straighten and dust this display. Their creativity took their task one step further by rearranging them in this beautiful format, placing our founder, the Rev. W. Mark Sexson, at the center. Thank you, girls.
W. Farmington Assembly #116 in Ohio recently volunteered to run the children's table at the Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention held at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown. The girls provided face painting and supervised the games & crafts. By participating in the Out of the Darkness Walks, they join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. For more information on how you can volunteer visit the AFSP at https://afsp.donordrive.com/ If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-271-8255 or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741.
